Google has always been a supporter of individuals who believe in innovation and what better can define innovation than startups and Entrepreneurship? The startup wave has seen so many ups and downs in India and women have played a crucial role in the growth of Indian startup ecosystem. Nyka, Mamaearth, Zivame, Mobikwik, there are so many examples which show us how women are achieving success in entrepreneurship to inspire and support the next generation of entrepreneurs. Google has announced the second edition of Google for Startup Accelerator. The tech giant revealed the list of 20 startups for 2023 via an official blog post. These 20 got short-listed out of 300+ applications across different sectors.
Google’s three-month programme integrates mentorships and workshops. Finalists in this programme have access to a wide range of resources and networks from across various sectors, including but not limited to healthcare, education, finance and e-commerce.
The programme module is particularly designed to support women entrepreneurs. In the blog post, Google wrote, “ This program is part of a larger effort by Google towards improving the representation of women across different sections of India’s digitally-trained workforce – be it entrepreneurship, professionals looking to upskill with the ultimate objective of making technology universally relevant and helpful.”
