Justin Timberlake was arrested overnight in New York’s Hamptons, authorities confirmed Tuesday.
The “Cry Me a River” singer was taken into custody by police in Sag Harbor, on the eastern end of Long Island, and remained in custody Tuesday morning, a police spokesperson told HuffPost.
The spokesperson declined to identify his charges, though ABC News and The Associated Press, citing law enforcement officials, said the arrest was for driving while intoxicated.
A statement is expected from the police department later in the day.
The 43-year-old is currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which launched in April. His latest performance was Saturday in Miami, and he is scheduled to next perform in Chicago on Friday.
