The fight started as the actress Urmila Matondkar pointed out Kangana over her recent demeaning statements on the film industry, that 99% of the film industry has been exposed to drugs. Urmila pointed Kangana saying that she should look inside her own backyard before slamming other states.

“The entire country is facing the menace of drugs. Does she (Kangana) know Himachal is the origin of drugs? She should start from her own state,”

said Urmila in a recent interview with India Today.

To which Kangana launched a fresh personal attack on Urmila, in which she described Urmila a ‘Soft Porn Star who is not known for her acting for sure’.

“The way she was talking about me, completely teasing through the interview, pulling faces, or just making a mockery out of my struggles and attacking me on the facts that I am trying to please BJP for a ticket. One doesn’t have to be a genius to figure that for me it is not very difficult to get a ticket. I don’t have to play with my life or get my property ruined,”

Kangana said in the interview and later added the much-talked remark,

“She is not known for acting for sure. What is she known for…for doing soft porn, right? If she can get a ticket, why won’t I get a ticket.”

After such a disgraceful remark, several colleagues from the film industry have come on to stand with Urmila Matondkar and render support to her.

Take a look into what actor Swara Bhaskar, directors Pooja Bhatt, Anubhav Sinha and Farah Khan tweeted while extending their support.

Dear @UrmilaMatondkar ji, remembering ur outstanding performances in Masoom, Chamatkaar, Rangeela, Judaai, Daud, Satya, Bhoot, Kaun, Jungle, Pyaar Tuney Kya Kiya, Tehzeeb, Pinjar, Ek Hasina Thi.. among others and have marvelled at your acting chops & brilliant dancing! Love u 💓

Class does not rave and rant. It shines through. @UrmilaMatondkar #JayaBachchan @ReallySwara @taapsee @SonuSood @dreamgirlhema You guys Shine BRIGHT 🙌🙌🙌🤗🤗🤗

— Farah Khan (@FarahKhanAli) September 16, 2020

@UrmilaMatondkar you are a legend. #Rangeela was a treat visually, emotionally and you raised the bar for all of us in so many ways. You left us all,co-actors and an entire generation of movie goers awestruck! Sensuality & dignity.. two qualities you combined & embodied. Respect!

— Pooja Bhatt (@PoojaB1972) September 17, 2020

Urmila had also commented on Kangana’s bad behaviour with Jaya Bachchan especially her usage of words with the senior actress and now SP MP . Urmila questioned her about the Indian culture which allows her to do the same.

“Which girl from a civilised cultured house would use this kind of language? Like ‘kya ukhaad loge’, ‘kiska baap ka kya hai’, speaking about Jaya ji the way she did.”

She further added,“If some people are taking drugs or are drug addicts, you have no reason to compare it to mafia. When Kangana was not even born, Jaya ji was in the film industry. We’re talking about a lady here (Jaya Bachchan) who has herself been an icon. Which part of Indian culture tells you to lash out at people like this?”
