Nissan Magnite will be made in India and be officially launched here in the first half of 2021. After the Nissan teased various concepts in the past, but it’s only today the SUV has been shown in full. According to the concept, the SUV looks so much dope and stunning, and the front grill is quiet reminds you about Datsun but the enhancement is quite aggressive which makes the Magnite ‘fully-loaded’.
If we talk about the styling that will be typically Nissan with new modifications according to the new era. The new peeled-back headlights could remind you about Nissan kicks. Nissan has not released further details but, the expectation is at the higher side because the concept is much impressive. According to sources, the Concept version will be almost similar to the production unit. We can expect 16-inch alloys, the chunky cladding on the wheel arches and door sills, blackened A-pillars and contrast roof, and chrome door handle. Rear-end styling is slightly normal with LED headlamps with a chunky tailgate. The rear bumper gets brushed silver elements and a scuff plate, though the look will likely be toned-down.
Under the Hood
The Magnite will be available with a total of four engine-and-gearbox options. The range will include a 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated, three-cylinder petrol engine available with manual and AMT auto gearbox options, and there’ll also be a near-95hp 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol unit mated with manual and CVT automatic transmission options.
About Features
The brand spokesperson said that model could be among the roomiest in the class along with the best in class features. There will be an 8.0-inch touchscreen, connected tech, 360-degree cameras and cruise control being part of the package. Auto climate control and steering-mounted controls are common but expected in this also.
Coming to India?
We’ll have to wait until January 2021 for more details, but the Magnite is expected to have an aggressive starting price, with the top-spec variant likely to be priced on par with the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
