Diljit who has been very active on social media recently in support of farmers is now seen working on grounds with the farmers at the protest site.
Diljit while addressing the media and the farmers on 5th December stated that “I am addressing the national media and that too in Hindi so that you don’t need a Google translator. We here at the protest site are peacefully putting forth our demands, there are no talks of bloodshed and you don’t need to twist the facts. What a farmer is asking from the government you should ask for the same, everyone is sitting peacefully here. Twitter is for blabbering around but we request you to state facts only.”
He motivated the farmers for actively asking for their rights. “You are the warriors creating a historical moment that will be remembered afterwards. We used to hear stories of zeal and enthusiasm but today I have witnessed that as well.” He thanked his fellow singers for being there with the farmers even when he wasn’t. He furthered his gratitude to the farmers of Haryana as well.
