The pandemic has been the evilest, uncertain and harsh for all of us in some or the other way. Where many of us chose to stay at our home quarantining ourselves from the virus, there are people like Shikha Malhotra, serving the society, most uniquely. After 6 long months of serving humanity, she has tested positive.

All your blessings have kept me safe in this battlefield and I am sure that I will get well soon,” she shared the news on Instagram.

Shikha has been sharing her journey as a nurse. Updating her followers with the seriousness of COVID-19. Dressed in a PPE kit, covered in face masks, face shields, and gloves.

In one such post, she said that she would always be there to serve the country.

This 26-year-old actress won everyone’s heart after the news of her working as a Frontliner (a nurse) came in the limelight. During the Coronavirus outbreak when all the shooting units were closed, she instead of taking off joined Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma care Municipal Hospital and served the COVID-19 patients. Surprisingly, she did not take any salary for that too. Shikha has acted in movies like ‘Fan’ and ‘ Kanchi’.

As per the report of The Tribune, Shikha has a degree in nursing from Delhi’s Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital and is a registered nurse. She decided to pause her work as an actress and help Mumbai battle the virus even after the shoots resumed post-Unlock 1.

No sooner did she share the news with her fans, the timeline of her social media saw floods of positive responses and prayers from her asking her to stay strong.
Post so many prayers and wishes, Shikha said that with the love of the fans, she will be able to battle the virus soon. She further adds that she was serving for the last six months with the prayers of well-wishers and now will fight it as well. She also said, “So far no vaccine has been prepared for COVID-19, so take care of yourself and your loved ones, wear masks, wash hands regularly, do not forget to use Gratitude for infinite love and respect.”
