The Glamorous Race: Top Luxury Brands on Social Media

While other luxury brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Versace also find themselves in the top five for mentions by local influencers, it is noteworthy that Louis Vuitton secures the highest earned media value through these posts, topping the charts.

Dior’s Stellar Performance

Between January and the end of May this year, Dior garnered a remarkable 1,431 mentions from 841 influencers, reflecting the brand’s captivating allure in the Indian influencer community. In the same period, the collective efforts of 2,099 Indian influencers resulted in a staggering 4,189 posts featuring mentions of these five luxury brands, collectively reaching an astounding 554 million people. The use of AI tools by HypeAuditor enables the accurate calculation of this impressive reach and influence.

The Fascination with Dior: A Fashion Trendsetter

Interestingly, out of the 4,189 posts, 154 featured only a single mention of Dior, while 51% of posts included mentions of five or more luxury brands. This suggests that Dior is particularly popular among fashion influencers who frequently showcase their daily outfits, incorporating various brands in their photos. Furthermore, Dior received mentions from 93 mega influencers, including renowned figures like Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, and Avneet Kaur, further solidifying its position as a fashion trendsetter.

The Gucci and Louis Vuitton Factor

Gucci secured the second position with 1,126 mentions from 701 influencers. Notable celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, and Darshan Raval were among those who mentioned the brand in their social media posts.

Louis Vuitton, while having 936 posts made by 557 influencers, reigns supreme with the highest earned media value of $30.36 million through these posts. The brand’s house ambassador, Deepika Padukone, along with Urvashi Rautela and Sonam Kapoor, further bolstered the brand’s digital presence.

Engaging Content Formats and Mega Influencers

Among the plethora of posts, 40% are in the form of reels, the most popular content format in India. Additionally, 231 posts were crafted by mega influencers boasting more than one million followers, contributing significantly to the brands’ digital reach and engagement.

The Showstopper Carousel

The most well-received post featured a carousel by Anushka Sharma, in which she mentions Dior. The post garnered an impressive 4.2 million likes, cementing Dior’s status as a social media showstopper.

As luxury brands continue to harness the power of social media, Dior shines bright as the unrivaled favorite among Indian influencers, while Louis Vuitton secures its position as the frontrunner in earned media value. The allure of fashion and the influence of mega influencers continue to shape the digital landscape, capturing the hearts of millions with every post.
