Sushant’s suicide case has become a national topic of media these days. Every day, the media comes up with new things and claims for the sake of TRPs. Meanwhile, for the past several days, senior journalist Arnab Goswami is attacking his rival channel Aaj Tak. He targetted Aaj Tak on the pretext of the Sushant Case on his show Poochta Hai Bharat. After Aaj Tak’s interview of Riya Chakraborty aired, he had expressed his displeasure and said that Republic TV does not give their platform to the accused.

Taking a dig at Aaj Tak, he had said that ‘Tak’ people called Sushant an addict to save Riya Chakraborty, but they are exposed now. Arnab Goswami had said that the whole country is fighting the case of Sushant Singh Rajput but these ‘tak’ channel want to suppress the voice of the country. In the midst of Arnab’s constant attacks, to-date senior journalist and anchor Rahul Kanwal have also hit back.

He tweeted those ‘Banana Republic” who are questioning India Today for interviewing Riya Chakraborty, is now looking for Riya in the whole city with the hope that she Will talk to them. Why are you such a loser? India Today got the interview you wanted… at least learn to defeat Goebbels with respect.

Same #BananaRepublic channels that were questioning @IndiaToday for interviewing @Tweet2Rhea are hounding Rhea all over town desperately hoping she will speak to them. So why be a sore loser. @IndiaToday got an interview you wanted. Learn to lose with grace Goebbels.

Republic TV took no time to reply Kanwal’s tweet and tagged India Today, Aaj Tak and Aroon Purie, where they shared weekly TRP data of the top five news channels. They wrote, “Can you give this (weekly TRP report) to your newsdesk with our compliments and tell them to take a chill pill.”

Dear @indiatoday, @aajtak and @aroonpurie, can you give this to your newsdesk with our compliments and tell them to take a chill pill? They seem a little too stressed. pic.twitter.com/SbTok5Bw4D

The spat between the two channels is not new. They both have accused each other directly or indirectly for publishing content with different points of view. Recently, India Today did a string operation in which they showed that Sushant never got 15 crore rupees of his new film contract, and Rhea  Chakraborty never had those siphoned 15 crores for which Sushant’s family accuses Rhea.

Goebbels attacks with vicious lies. We replied with the truth. Unearthing the truth takes time because it’s not as easy as making up ‘facts!’ But in the end, truth has a way of surfacing. If Rs 15 cr was never paid, how could it be ‘stolen.’ India can not become a #BananaRepublic

— Rahul Kanwal (@rahulkanwal) September 7, 2020

On 7th September, Kanwal tweeted that he cannot understand how justice for Sushant is more important than Justice for Rhea. He alleged that the Sushant’s side is being taken because of upcoming elections in Bihar, and the situation might have been different if the elections were in West Bengal. He said, “Banana Republic channels are accusing her of murder. Even CBI is not charging Rhea with murder.”

Not understood how is #JusticeForSushant more important than #JusticeForRhea I understand that there are elections in Bihar but what if elections this year were in West Bengal? Then? Banana Republic channels are accusing her of murder. Even CBI is not charging Rhea with murder.
