According to a press release from the Dubai Media Office, the world’s first hydrogen-powered flying boat, dubbed “The Jet ZeroEmission,” will be built and launched in Dubai. The environmentally friendly vessel generates no waves, emits no noise, and appears to ‘fly’ 80cm above the water at 35-40 mph.
The futuristic-looking boat, designed by L’Hydroptère, will have cutting-edge characteristics and technology and can carry up to 12 passengers at a time. With two fuel cells and an air conditioner, the environmentally friendly technology helps cut carbon emissions.

The Jet promises to provide a tailored boat excursion that flies silently over the world’s most beautiful seashores, rivers, and lakes. There was no indication of when the boat will be launched.
The announcement comes one step ahead of the clean technology industry and the business itself, as it is the official news agency that has raised a portion of the € 10 million in investment required. Report by Wham.

Dubai’s Renewable Energy Strategy 2050 targets for the city to produce 75% of its energy needs from clean sources by 2050. The Strategy also aspires to establish Dubai as a global hub for renewable energy and the green economy, which this new initiative perfectly complements.
“We look forward to meeting people interested in this flying boat at the 28th International Climate Summit (COP28 UAE) in the UAE,” Tebeau stated. During the next COP28 UAE Preparatory Conference in November 2023, boat technology will be supplied in Dubai for the first flight.
