1. Mercedes-Benz Vision EQ Silver Arrow
Revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California in August 2018, the Vision EQ Silver Arrow is a single-seat electric car with a motor rated at about 750 hp and a claimed range of around 400 km from an 80 kWh battery.

Its long, low body pays tribute to the 1938 Mercedes-Benz W125 record car, which set a speed record of 432.7 km/h. The cockpit is covered by a flip-up canopy, like a racing car.
2. Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6
The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is a 5.7 metre long electric luxury car. The coupe was shown at Pebble Beach in 2016 and an open cabriolet version followed in 2017.
Mercedes quoted about 738 hp, a limited top speed of 249 km/h, 0 to 100 km/h in under four seconds and a range of more than 320 km. Its long bonnet and boat-tail rear made it one of the most discussed show cars of its time.
3. Audi PB18 e-tron
The Audi PB18 e-tron also took its name from Pebble Beach, where it was shown in 2018. It uses three electric motors, one at the front and two at the rear, with about 670 PS and a short overboost mode.
Its most unusual feature is a cockpit that can slide between a central single-seat driving position and a two-seat layout. Audi claimed a range of about 580 km from a 95 kWh battery.
4. Lamborghini Terzo Millennio
Lamborghini unveiled the Terzo Millennio in November 2017 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as the first result of its research partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). It has an electric motor at each wheel.
Instead of a normal battery, it is designed around supercapacitors, which store and release energy quickly. Lamborghini described it as a research project rather than a production car. An earlier version of this article wrongly called it a hybrid limited to 63 units.
5. Rolls-Royce 103EX
The Rolls-Royce 103EX was shown in London in June 2016 as part of BMW Group’s centenary series of concept cars. It imagines a fully self-driving, zero-emission Rolls-Royce with no steering wheel or pedals.
The idea was that owners would be driven by a digital assistant, while the cabin worked like a private lounge. Rolls-Royce said it was a vision of the future, not a car for sale. The brand’s first production electric car, the Spectre, was revealed in 2022.
6. BMW Vision Next 100
BMW showed the Vision Next 100 in Munich in 2016 to mark its 100th anniversary. The concept offered two driving modes: Boost, where the driver takes control, and Ease, where the car drives itself.

7. Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven
Unveiled in 2023, the Vision One-Eleven is an electric two-door coupe with gull-wing doors inspired by the Mercedes-Benz C111 experimental cars of the late 1960s and 1970s. It is powered by axial flux motors from YASA, a Mercedes-owned company.
Inside, the seats blend into the floor and sills, and the cabin can switch between a driving mode and a lounge mode.
8. Jaguar Type 00
Jaguar revealed the Type 00 at Miami Art Week in December 2024 as part of a complete rebrand. The bright pink and blue two-door coupe divided opinion, as the BBC and others reported.
Jaguar has said the concept previews its future design, and a production electric grand tourer called the Type 01 is expected to follow. It is one of the boldest design statements from a traditional carmaker in recent years.
9. Ferrari F80: from concept idea to real car
Earlier versions of this list included a “Ferrari F80” hybrid supercar concept. That was a design study made by an independent designer, not a Ferrari project.
