Telangana Government has suspended the services of food delivery apps like Swiggy and Zomato from today. The lockdown in the state is extended till 7 May. People are advised by the CM to cook meals at home. "The cabinet has decided to extend the lockdown in the state till 7 May. The cabinet will take stock of the situation on 5 May," said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
There are about 651 active cases ,186 patients are cured and 21 deaths in Telangana till now. Out of 33, four districts; Wargal, Yadari Bhavanagri, Wanaparthy and Siddipeta are free from coronona infection in the state.
The lockdown will be strictly followed till 7 May. Food dilvery apps are not allowed to function till then. However, apps like Big Basket , Grofers and other daily need services will be active to meet basic needs of the people. All the pharmacies and essential need companies will remain open. "The government will provide ration and Rs 1,500 to migrant labourers who have families in Telangana and ration to those who stay alone," the Chief Minister said.
