Briggs Darrington is a 1-year toddler who has become famous as the youngest travel influencer. We have witnessed so many kids coming on to the media platform to perform something or the other. But, have never seen a search kid like Briggs Darrington.
As it happens, this kid from the US has been getting fame on social media as a travel influencer since he was a year old. He started earning ever since he was born.
You would not believe that this toddler has travelled to 16 US states, including Kansas, the delicate arch in Utah, beaches in California, Arizona, Florida, Alaska, where he saw bears, and New Mexico. Also, his first-ever trip was to a glamping site in Nebraska.
You can’t even imagine Briggs is getting paid for travel on $1000 as a baby travel influencer.
Briggs’ birth was October 14, 2020. He has been travelling since he was a mere 3 weeks old. And took his first flight ever when he was 9 months old.
As of now, Briggs has taken 45 flights.
How does it begin to happen?
Briggs’s mother, Jess, quoted how to the Daily Mail how she started the journey of being a travel influencer. She said in the conversation, “I had been running a blog called Part-Time Tourists for a few years, being paid to travel the world. But when I got pregnant with Briggs in 2020, I was nervous that my career was over, as I didn’t know if it was possible to continue with a baby.”
Later, after being a tourist, she was very curious about travelling. Jess and her husband Steve thought of travelling with their newborn. So to make it official, Jess searched the social media accounts for baby travel but did not find any.
She began with the journey and made an account on social media named @whereisbriggs. And she started sharing the content that she learned from her travels with the baby, to help others who are doing it for the first time. This will be useful for new moms struggling with postpartum anxiety and depression.
Jess seems to be active in the regular postings on social media of her kid, Briggs since he was born. The account focuses on Briggs, and the content offers advice on how to care for children while travelling.
Briggs got so many sponsors while he got famous for his travel influence. Other brands have also been providing diapers and wipes to cater to Briggs’ baby needs, which is pretty cool for the baby.
Jess mentioned that their family continued with their travels amid COVID-19 lockdowns, following all safety guidelines. They went on road trips and local vacations, which allowed social distancing.
They also stayed away from big cities and concentrated on exploring hidden gems and outdoor travel.
According to Jess, practising with your luggage before the journey, packing extra items in the stroller, ensuring your baby has on-the-go naps and giving munchies or a bottle to the baby while take-off or landing goes a long way in ensuring a smooth holiday.
Briggs and her mother’s journey portrays that obstacles are a part of life, but they don’t decide your limits. You need to learn to overcome them and move ahead in life.
