In the previous six years, in Paris, countries had gathered to discuss the climate problem. A serious discussion will arise at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference. The Cop26 conference, which was initially scheduled for November 2020, has now been rescheduled for this year from October 31 to November. It could not happen because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In that case, the COP Bureau of the UNFCCC, with the co-presidency of the UK and Italy, had decided to re-schedule. The conference ensures that all parties focus on the issues to discuss at this vital conference and allow more time for the necessary preparations to take place, which will begin again to work with all its effects to increase climate disasters, build resilience, and lower emissions.
The United Nations climate news explained that global warming was close to spiralling out of control. The actions of governments at this conference will determine whether it is effective or not.
The conference is scheduled to have a formal opening on October 31st. The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has invited Heads of State and Government to attend the World Leaders Summit from 1-2 November as part of the first part of the COP 26 High-level Segment.
The organization has planned well to webcast the entire conference for key meetings and high-level events.
Pledge
At the conference of the UN assembly, councils in and around Glasgow have pledged to plant 18 million trees in preparation for the meeting. The Clyde Climate Forest (CCF) launched a project to increase trees and cover the urban areas of the Greater Glasgow region to 20%.

But some leaders are not attending the UN conference. The Kremlin announced on October 20, 2021, that Russian President Vladimir Putin would not attend the conference. Chinese leader Xi Jinping said that he wouldn’t be attending the UN assembly. He said he might not attend the conference due to COVID-19 concerns.
Even though Pope Francis is not attending, he is sending his Secretary of State, His Holiness Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who may read a message on the Pope’s behalf if the Pope is not available for the video link.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Glasgow on November 1-2 to attend the high-level segment of the World Leaders’ Summit.
