The Karnataka government is creating job opportunities for nurses in other countries amid the Covid-19 pandemic. BS Yeddyurappappa government is providing necessary professional skills to 1000 nurses. They will be sent to the United Kingdom. This is being done as a building block towards ensuring the job-seekers’ livelihood.

The British government will provide annual salary package of ₹20 lakh for the people who will get employed.

Moreover, Deputy Minister and Minister of Skill Development, CN Ashwath Narayan has said that Indian nurses have much demand in European countries, many health care sectors have come forward to generate opportunities for Indian nurses.

As per the reports, the nurses, who have been sent to the UK, are trained in many aspects by Karnataka Vocational training and Development corporation to make them fully efficient. They also focus on their communication skills for smooth transitions in everyday work.

For this, an International Immigration Centre has been created by the government, to generate employment in foreign countries. The nurses are being sent to the UK through this organization. This center will keep in touch with them and listen to their grievances.

This happened as a result of an agreement between the Department of Skill Development of the State, National Health Services (NHS) & Health Education England (HEE), told the minister CN Ashwath Narayan. He further said that the DSD and Public Affairs Centre entered into an MoU to provide guidance, technical support, and other services for the ones who are ready to go to foreign countries and get employment.
