Every year many reports of building collapsing made to the headlines, recently we have been hearing a lot of them about bridges and the building collapsing due to several reasons. One more such incident happened today at 3:40 AM in Bhiwandi town of Mumbai.
At least ten people were killed and more than 20 rescued after a three-storey building collapsed in Maharashtra’ Bhiwandi town, reported Mumbai Police.
“We heard a noise and I noticed that there were cracks on the floor,” 35-year-old resident, Sharif Ansari told Reuters. “I woke up my neighbours and my wife and we rushed everyone down,” Ansari said he went back up to alert more people and was on the first floor with some other residents when the building came down. “We jumped from there and managed to escape but there are at least another 60 people trapped,” he said.
Such a tragic incident. Please make an immediate audit for many such old buildings in Bhiwandi @swachh_bhiwandi @rais_shk @MaheshChoughule @KapilPatilMP @MayorPatil https://t.co/4IO7T2xno7
