February has been looked upon as a month of love, companionship, warmth, intimacy, sacrifice, devotion, loyalty, and togetherness. When we discuss these attributes, the very first image that comes to our mind is heart-shaped. Several events take place during this whole month starting from Valentine’s day, World wedding Day to Family Day in order to highlight the importance of these characteristics found in relationships.
You would be wondering why I am bringing in such a topic? well, the answer is simple. In this month anyone can feel romance and love in the air. And subconsciously you will find yourself indulge in searching for sensual pleasure. The best thing you can do during this time of pandemic is to watch movies that will please your eyes or you can watch out for the list of such beautiful heart-shaped places so that next time you can plan your trip to visit such spots and get a first-hand experience. Here goes the list:
1. Galensjak Island, Croatia
All the lovers of the world are surely gonna smitten by the scenic beauty of this Island. It is uninhabited and is low in vegetation. And yet, was one of the most popular islands in the world owing to its distinctive look, Galesnjak is heart-shaped.
The island first caught the limelight in 2009 when Google Earth recorded its striking shape. Today, the island is nicknamed “the island of love” or “lovers’ island” and it’s a highly popular haven for couples. Many people prefer this island to celebrate anniversaries, to propose to their lovers or just to have a sense of peace.
2. Upper Antelope Canyon, USA
Upper Antelope Canyon, the place where water runs through rocks, is truly awe-inspiring and picturesque. With its tall meandering walls, it is a gigantic sandstone sculpture situated east of page in Northern Arizona.
Well known for its twisted structure and the light Beams that occur most often in summer, Antelope serves as a symbol of Nature’s gifts and mightiness. Entering is a spiritual experience related to entering a place of worship that deserves respect.
3. Lough Ouler, Ireland
Ireland’s very own heart-shaped lake, Lough Ouler is situated at the feet of the Tonelagee Mountains. Some address it as” the lake of love.”
This is a beautiful hike up to and around the heart-shaped lake of Lough Ouler. The scene on the ascent is breathtaking on a clear day. Since the terrain can be quite boggy and wet, it is required to visit the spot with proper footwear
4. Heart Reef, Australia.
Heart Reef is very close to the romantic Whitsunday Islands. To see its breathtaking beauty you can take a helicopter, seaplane, or light plane tour. These depart from some of the main Islands such as Hamilton and Daydream – and from the mainland beach town of Airlie Beach. You can fly direct to Hamilton Island from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Cairns.

5. Lake Toyoni, Japan
Lake Toyoni is a freshwater lake at about 260 m elevation in Erimo town located in the southeastern district of Tomakomai city and was named after Mt. Toyonidake.
This lake is well-known as a heart-shaped lake and the other name is “Heart Lake”. The heart-shape is even more emphasized because the lake is thickly surrounded by virgin forests. In autumn, the colorful leaves of the dense forest give it more contrasting beauty.
6. The heart of Voh, New Caledonia
The Heart of Voh (“Vook” in the local Kanak) found on the west coast of Grande Terre, 300km from Nouméa, in New Caledonia. A simple 4-hectare space, formed by the mangroves on the edge of the lagoon, whose recognizable perfect heart shape has sent spectators into euphoria.
In 1999, the photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand made it the cover photo for his book, Earth from Above, a UNESCO-sponsored inventory of the world’s most beautiful landscapes. Since then it came into the public-eye and has been a favorite spot for a helicopter cruise.
7. Hridaya Thakadam, India
This heart-shaped lake is situated in Chembra peak, Wayanad district, Kerala. Organized by the State Forest Department, the Chembra Lake expedition begins close to the base of the Chembra Hill, taking you to the summit through its large tea plantations of the hill.
Unlike any other hill, there are no roads leading to the hilltop. The views of the hill are admirable but you will be surely smitten by the beauty of the heart-shaped lake which is situated at the top.
8. Island Tavarua, Fiji
Tavarua is a heart-shaped island resort in Fiji. It has an area of 24 acres and is close to the main Fijian island, Viti Levu, surrounded by a coral reef.

9. Twin-heart Fish Trap, Taiwan
The Double-heart of Stacked Stones or the Twin-Heart Fish Trap is a stone fishing weir located on the north side of Cimei Township, Penghu province, Taiwan.
This curving weir is formed of piled rock walls in an intertidal zone. At high tide, the fish swim into the weir with the rising seawater and are trapped there when the water recedes again at low tide. The Twin Hearts Stone Weir is well-preserved, and most romantically shaped which resembles a flying heart. All you need to do is to plan your visit to the spot at low tide so that you can have a full view.
