The controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, responding to questions posed on social media for him, said that the Islamophobia in India has reached an epidemic level, especially after the formation of the new government in 2014 led by Mr. Narendra Modi.

When he was asked about the Islamophobia in India and how to tackle it, Mr. Naik said, “Repel evil with good. You may never know, the person who is your enemy becomes your friend. If they are abusing you, illogically blaming you, even then you be kind to them. You be good with them; you soften their hearts. That is what I did. That is why the majority of Hindus in India loved and some touched my feet supposing me an Avatar”.

He also spoke about backlash from Arab-countries which sent many individuals back to their homes on the charges of spreading Islamophobia in the region. Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have also warned Islamophobes that if they continue to spew venom against Islam they will be fined and kicked-out from their job and will be sent back to their respective countries.

Mr. Zakir said that the backlash should had come long before. He also advised the concerned authority to collect the data of the people who are envenoming Islam wherever in the world and file a case against them when they touch the gulf shores.
