The top 10 richest voice actors of all time
1. Trey Parker
Trey Parker co-created South Park and voices Stan Marsh and Eric Cartman, among many others. Forbes reported in July 2025 that Parker and Stone had become billionaires after a five-year, $1.5 billion agreement to bring South Park to Paramount+ worldwide.

According to Forbes, the same agreement pays the pair at least $250 million a year to produce new episodes through 2030. Their income from TV, films and the stage musical The Book of Mormon flows through their production company, Park County, which they own outright.
2. Matt Stone
Matt Stone shares the top spot with his long-time partner. He voices Kyle Broflovski, Kenny McCormick and Butters Stotch. Forbes put his net worth at about $1.2 billion, the same as Parker’s.
Forbes also estimated that Park County could be valued at up to $3 billion in a sale. Earlier streaming deals with Hulu and HBO Max had already made South Park one of the most valuable animated shows in the world.
3. Matt Groening
Matt Groening created The Simpsons and Futurama. He is mainly a writer and producer rather than a working voice actor, but he is often counted in this list because his wealth comes from animation. Celebrity Net Worth estimates his fortune at about $600 million.
The Simpsons remains on air. Wikipedia notes that in April 2025 the show was renewed for four more seasons, taking it through the 2028 to 2029 season.
4. Seth MacFarlane
Seth MacFarlane created Family Guy and voices several of its lead characters. Celebrity Net Worth estimates his net worth at $400 million.
The site reports that he signed a five-year, $100 million deal with Fox in 2009 and a five-year, $200 million deal with NBCUniversal in 2020 through his company, Fuzzy Door Productions. 5. Hank Azaria

Why creators earn far more than other voice actors
The gap between the top four and the rest is large. Parker, Stone, Groening and MacFarlane own a share of their shows, so they earn from streaming rights, syndication and merchandise. Most other voice actors are paid a fee per episode.
The Simpsons cast is a good example. According to Wikipedia, the main cast earned $30,000 an episode until 1998. Pay rose to $125,000 by 2004 and to about $400,000 after talks in 2008. In 2011 the cast accepted a 30% cut to just over $300,000 an episode. That is a very good salary, but it does not compare with owning the show.
