1. Fight Club (1999)
Fight Club is based on Chuck Palahniuk’s eponymous novel about a disgruntled white-collar employee and a devil-may-care soap salesman who team up to start an underground fight club.
Where young men may express their frustrations by beating one another to a pulp.
2. Mark David Chapman in “Chapter 27” (2007)
To play the man who murdered John Lennon, Leto undertook the most dramatic physical transformation of his career, gaining 67 pounds.
Leto does his hardest in the film to give a performance that allows us to better grasp who Chapman was, but most people don’t buy it.
3. The Joker in “Suicide Squad” (2016)
Jared Leto gives the legendary DC Comics villain a new spin. Fans and reviewers alike were divided on his extravagant performance.
But, to be fair, he only appeared in a few sequences in “Suicide Squad,” so it’s difficult to pass judgment on him. We’ll have to wait and see whether Leto gets another chance at the role in a film with more screen time.

5. Dallas Buyers Club (2013)
In this biographical drama, Ron Woodroof, a Dallas electrician, and hustler, gets diagnosed with AIDS in 1985.
Ron finds it difficult to obtain medications due to a lack of research and the disease’s stigma. He then begins smuggling prohibited medications into the Dallas Buyers Club to treat himself and other AIDS patients.
6. Paul Gardener in “Urban Legend” (1998)
Even Jared Leto couldn’t escape the slasher movie frenzy of the late 1990s.
In this film, he co-stars Joshua Jackson, Rebecca Gayheart, and Tara Reid as the leader of a group of friends who are plagued by urban legends that murder them one by one. Jared Leto gained some clout because of this film, which he made early in his career.
7. Mr. Nobody (2009)
Nemo Nobody, a 118-year-old man, is the last mortal on Earth in 2092, with the rest having attained immortality.

If you can look past the awful artificial beard he’s wearing for the job, the heated argument between the two reveals Jared Leto’s dramatic chops.
9. Steve Prefontaine in “Prefontaine” (1997)
Jared Leto plays American long-distance runner Steve Prefontaine, who was one of the faces who helped begin the “running boom” in the 1970s before his sad death at the age of 24.
It’s one of the first times Jared Leto proves he’s more than just a nice face, as he nails Prefontaine’s fierce persona.
10. Albert Sparma in “The Little Things” (2021)
Jared Leto’s most recent role is one you can’t ignore.
Jared Leto, who plays a man suspected of being a serial murderer, just takes over the film once he appears, thanks to his long greasy hair and a scary expression – he never blinks.
