Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS), Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday asked all the Sangh workers to continue with the relief work till the pandemic ends, and help everyone affected by COVID-19 without any discrimination. He also focused on building India into a self-reliant economy.
RSS has been working to create awareness about the coronavirus health crisis while abiding by all the rules and regulations of the lockdown.
In an online address to the RSS workers, he said “We have to be patient and calm. There should be no fear or anger as people with anti-India mindset can use it against the country.”
He also instructed to not blame the entire community for the wrongdoing of some people. He said this is a reference to the Tablighi Jamaat incident.
Bhagwat said, “It is our duty to help in this time of crisis. All 130 crore Indians are our own,”
He further added that whoever needs help is their own and there should be no discrimination among anyone while providing help. Helping all those in need is not a favour but a duty.
Bhagwat appreciated how the country and government have very well handled the situation and the citizenry has also responded well to the crisis. He also warned the people against all those who might use this opportunity to create tensions between communities.
He also asked people to use as many ‘swadeshi’ goods as possible.
