Abhijita Gupta has recently written a book titled “Happiness All Around” which is a collection of short stories and poems and its target audience is children. The anthology of short stories and poems gives a glimpse into the mind of a child. She wrote this book during the COVID-19 pandemic and got it published with the help of her parents.
Belonging to the third generation of the renowned poet duo – Rashtrakavi Maithilisharan Gupt and Santkavi Shri Siyaramsharan Gupt, creativity abounds in her veins, Abhijita started to write at the young age of 5. Now she is in the 2nd standard and 7 years old. Her mother said, “Though she was just introduced to phonetics, we gave her books with full sentences and she managed to read them pretty well.” She also added that she started to read when she was just 4 years old.
Abhijita Gupta is so passionate about her writing that she said that, “The surroundings and even the little things inspire me. I write about positive things- what I hear, see or feel.” Abhijita also enlightened on her favourite poems-‘Mother Earth’, ‘Let’s try, let’s fly’, ‘Study is my best buddy’, and ‘Precious Friendship’.
Her parents said, “Every parent has a dream to be known by his child. For us, it came too soon. Abhijita’s book will leave a positive impact on society and inspire kids of her age. Abhijita is now writing her next book which would focus on how she feels about the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts on children.”
