People have always loved to talk about politics over a cup of tea, but many hesitate to join politics owing to the difficult scenarios and conditions of the political world.
It becomes easy to compare and taunt politicians about their roles in society, but it’s difficult to walk in their shoes and work as per their positions.
I’m sure everyone has seen the film ‘Nayak’ where a young journalist becomes the Chief Minister of the state for a day but have you ever seen a young girl contesting for the elections and becoming the mukhiya in a populated state?
Meet, Anushka Tiwari, a young girl of 21 years who is all set to become the youngest mukhiya of Bihar. She has taken the oath of becoming the mukhiya of Bihar and has broken the shackles of gender disparity.
Bihar is a populous state and the youth, especially the women, are still trying to break the norms and educate themselves.
Our country, India, is home to the most populous youth population, but not many youngsters chose to pursue their careers in the field of politics. Our country is led by politicians in their 60s and 70s, and it isn’t able to see reforms in its age-old policies.
Anushka Tiwari comes as fresh air to the face of Indian Politics and becomes the youngest mukhiya of her village.
Anushka recently completed her education at the college in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and is a graduate in history honours. Seeing the state of the village, she decided to come back to the village and give back in return. At an age where people struggle for a career and jobs, Anushka made up her mind to join politics. She registered her name for the post of the mukhiya and contested for the elections from the seat at her native village Kushahar, Seohar, in Bihar.
She got a lot of support from her friends, family, and villagers. Not only that, but she had a close competition with her rival, Rita Devi, and the results after the elections were shocking. Tiwari managed to secure 2665 votes in comparison to 2338 votes from Rita Devi. It was a neck-to-neck competition.
She is extremely motivated and enthusiastic to work for the upliftment of women and wishes to make progress in the field of education.
Anushka is all set to make changes in her village and solve the issues of the villagers facing difficulty. She feels there needs to be work done in the very sector of her village and that’s what prompted her to join the politics. She is called the youngest mukhiya of Bihar after the results were out.
Anushka feels that she will be able to solve the problems of her village after getting the support and votes of so many people who believed in her potential. She wants to eradicate corruption and is eager to serve the people of her village.
She got all the support from her family and parents. Her father Mr Sunil Singh is a former member of the district council. She wants to become like her grandfather. Her grandfather is her inspiration.
The spirit of a young girl to change the face of her village is commendable and applaudable. In times when a girl’s child is still seen as a burden, It’s refreshing to see society changing. Anushka’s parents have set the benchmark in society by letting their daughter join politics at such a young age. They are bringing a much-needed reformation in the male chauvinist society.
