Recently, former Pakistani bowler, Shoaib Akhtar put forth the proposal of Indo-Pak series amidst lockdown over the world due to COVID-19. He tends to believe that if this series happen it will help both the countries to generate funds. But the former Indian captain Kapil Dev does not think so as he responded to this saying that India does not need an Indo Pak series for help and India has enough money. To this Akhtar said that Kapil Dev did not understand what he was trying to say.
Shoaib Akhtar said that he knows the condition of poverty in both the counties and that he knows and understands India better than Pakistan's Prime Minister adding that he wants to extend help as it is his responsibility as a human being. He also believes that it is the right time for both countries to join hands.
He conveyed that he has received a lot of love and appreciation from India and is wants the terms of both countries to be better. He also said that he has travelled to many places in India and knows that both countries have poverty issues and is saddened to see the people suffering. He believes that fundraising through this series will help the people who earn their living from cricket and will be really helpful as it will generate revenues adding that it is the right time for both the countries to come together.
