The 40-year-old passed away after going through a massive heart attack, confirms the Cooper Hospital Mumbai. According to some senior, “He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago,”. Sidharth, who is known for being the winner of Big Boss season 13, sent the entire industry into a state of shock.
The doctors claimed him dead at 10:00 AM. There were no notable injuries to the body. The family members, his mother and two sisters were found waiting for the post-mortem reports.
A doctor from the forensics department told Hindustan Times that “Initial report indicates that he died of a heart attack. We, however, won’t be able to confirm the cause of his death until we complete the post mortem,”.
An Unhealthy lifestyle, smoking due to stress, and strain of modern life could be possible triggers of cardiac arrest.
Early Life and Modeling Career
At school, the late actor was an athletic kid representing his school at sports such as tennis and football. For a few years, he worked at an interior designing company after completing his bachelor’s.
His career in showbiz began through modelling during which he lost his father to a lung disorder. In 2005 he signed advertising deals with companies such as Bajaj and ICICI after bagging the title of World’s Best Model beating 40 contestants in Turkey. He was the first Asian and an Indian to establish so.
TV Debut and Bollywood
On Sony TV’s show ‘Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na’ he starred opposite Aastha Chaudhary. Other works include ‘Jaane Pehchaane Se…’, ‘Ye Ajnabbi, Aahat’ and ‘Love U Zindagi’. His big break was through the hit show Balika Vadhu for his portrayal of the character Shiv. The Stardust Awards judged his Breakthrough Supporting Performance (Male) for his role in Karan Johar’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. He hosted a few shows like Savdhaan India and India’s Got Talent. He has appeared in music videos as well.

The Most Stylish Actor of 2017 has been involved in various episodes where he reportedly threw a fit. He has been criticized for his attitude and adamant personality. His co-star Kunal Verma said “He is an unprofessional maniac and a psycho. I think he needs psychiatric treatment again. I heard he had gone to rehab once and I think he needs to visit it again.” He has been charged with drunk and rash driving by the Mumbai Police.
Last Appearance
The actor made appearances with Big Boss alumnus Shehnaaz Gill (who is rumoured to be involved in a romantic relationship with the actor however nothing is officially confirmed) on Big Boss OTT and Dance Deewane 3. Reportedly, the actress left a shot midway after receiving the news of the passing.
The father of the actress Santokh Singh Sukh in a conversation with SpotboyE said “I am not in the condition to talk right now. I cannot believe whatever has happened.”
On being asked about Shehnaaz he said that she is not fine. Her brother Shehbaaz has left for Mumbai to accompany and support her through this distressing period.
His death has revealed how unpredictable heart attacks are. An increasing number of cardiac arrests are reported on a daily basis. We tend to follow the common belief that heart attacks occur in the elderly but recent cases suggest otherwise. More and more incidents of young people passing have emerged making it a topic of concern. Statistics say that as compared to 2018 the rate of heart attacks in the age group 35 to 54 has risen from 27% to 32%.
Many heartbroken celebrities have delivered their condolences. Even A-lister actors like Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar, etc have expressed their sorrow.
Karan Kundra through an Instagram post said “Shocking… just last night we were talking about how well you’re doing.. can’t believe it! Gone too soon, buddy. RIP. Will remember you always smiling.”
Varun Dhawan shared a promotional photo with the caption “Rip brother. You are loved by so many and you touched so many with your kind heart and beautiful personality. Today heaven has gained a star and we have lost one. My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones.”
The industry is grieving the sudden loss. The participant of reality shows like ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6,’ and ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7’ has left his fans and followers crestfallen.
