The use of digital technologies in precision agriculture has changed the way farmers treat crops and manage fields in recent years. It is not necessary to be an expert to recognize how technology has transformed farming, making it more profitable, efficient, safe, and simple.
Crop monitoring drones, livestock measurement devices, farm management software, driverless tractors, and other cutting-edge farming tools and technologies are just a few examples.
Following are some of the newest emerging innovations in the field of agriculture :
1. GIS-Based Agriculture
Because fields are based on location, GIS software becomes a very important tool for precision farming.

Farmers can use GIS software to map current and prospective changes in precipitation, temperature, crop yields, plant health, and other variables.
It also allows farmers to use GPS-based treatments in conjunction with smart machinery to optimize fertilizer and pesticide application; because they don’t have to treat the entire field but simply treat certain regions, they can save money, effort, and time.
2. AI/ML & Data Science in Agriculture Technology
Artificial intelligence is the application of human intelligence through a mechanical body, in which instructions are sent into the machine and therefore clever work is produced without effort.
Agriculture’s complete life cycle includes soil preparation, seed sowing, fertilizer application, water irrigation, weed control, harvesting, and storage.
Growers and farmers must rely on their intuition, estimates, and risks based on the correct time and other elements at every stage of the process.
AI and machine learning can make a significant contribution and profit from their proven data analysis and forecasts.
3. Data From The Sky – Drones
Farmers can use drones to precisely quantify crop biomass, plant height, weed presence, and water saturation on specific field sections.
In comparison to satellites, they provide better and more accurate data with higher resolution. They deliver crucial information even faster than scouts when they are managed locally.
Drones are also regarded as unequaled allies in the fight against insects; the invasion is avoided by spraying pesticides on the hazardous areas with drones, all while reducing the risk of chemical poisoning from direct contact.
4. Automation
Robotics has come a long way, and we aren’t surprised to see machines undertaking farm work. Farm automation, or so-called smart farming, has been acknowledged by reducing the demand for human resources.
As a result, you’ll be able to deliver on the international promise of meeting expanding population demand by producing much-needed agro-produce with less human intervention and faster.

5. Combining Data
Crop Monitoring may be required to combine data sets on occasion in order to obtain useful insights for your farms. For starters, the user can compare his field’s performance to the average performance of all fields in the district.
To address this problem, several datasets from all of your district’s fields are compared. Weather data analysis is the next useful function that makes use of a variety of data sets.
The tool also allows you to keep track of precipitation and temperature.
